Our vision is simple. It’s our desire to see people love Christ and fully committed to Him.
It’s our purpose to get this across to our community by following the Great Commission that is laid out for us in the Bible. (Matthew 28:18-20)
It’s also our purpose to be a New Testament Church as the Bible describes. Our basis for this is found in Acts 5:42, ‘…daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.’ The early church had a desire to win souls and make disciples and that is our desire at Eagle Drive Baptist Church.
Our purpose is also related to our Core Values...
This begins in the heart, with a personal relationship with Jesus. This love grows as we gather together in worship and to hear the teaching and preaching of the Bible.
“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” (Mark 12:30)
We grow together through the Word and through community. Community is the fellowship we enjoy as Christians. The Word is the truth of the Bible as it’s taught in services, connection groups, and one-on-one.
“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” (2 Peter 3:18)
Jesus adds people to His church, and gifts them to serve by His grace. We desire to help every member of our family to discover and use their gifts to serve others through outreach, missions, community projects, and care.
“For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” Galatians 5:13
Share our Faith
As we love Christ the way we are supposed to then it will relate and show forth in our love for others. As our love grows then we will also grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Savior. As we love and grow then we'll have a heart for service. We don't serve God in order to, but rather because of. It's because of our great love for Him and our growth and spiritual maturity that leads us to service. As we learn to love, we grow. As we grow we start serving. And as we start serving, we start sharing our faith with others around us.
Love. Grow. Serve. Share.
That is our biblical purpose. These are the core principles of what makes Eagle Drive Baptist Church who we are and strive to be. As a church family we are focused on gospel-centered ministry communicated in love and with grace.
